Description
Herb Valley’s formula provides a traditional remedy for the symptomatic relief of hay fever, upper respiratory tract infections, colds, flu and mucous congestion.
Horseradish is traditionally used in combination with other ingredients such as garlic in herbal decongestant formulas.
Garlic is recognised world wide as an antimicrobial and immune-enhancing agent. Alliin, found in garlic, has been shown to exert antibacterial, antifungal, antiparasitic and antiviral activities. It may also help in preventing the common cold.
Calcium Ascorbate is a source of Vitamin C that may help to reduce inflammation of the upper respiratory tract in a form that is gentle to the stomach.
Fenugreek has been shown to exhibit some anti-inflammatory and immuno-stimulant properties.
St John’s Wort may help inflammation and has been shown in the past to possess some antiviral and bactericidal activity.
Peppermint has been included to help soothe nasal irritation.

Recommended Daily Dosage
Adults and children over 12 years –
Take two tablets three times daily with food. Or as directed by your health care practitioner.
Medicine Interactions
Consult your healthcare professional before use if you are taking, or think you may be taking, cyclosporine, oral contraceptives (birth control pills), warfarin, protease inhibitors or reverse transcriptase inhibitors (antiviral drugs), amitriptyline, simvastatin or irinotecan. St John’s Wort has been noted to increase the action of the hepatic P450 enzyme system, which may decrease the efficacy of these medications.
Consult your health care professional before use if you are taking prescription antidepressants (tricyclics or SSRIs). St John’s Wort may interfere with the action of these medications.
Consult your healthcare professional before use if you are taking digoxin. St John’s Wort may interfere with the action of this medication.
Consult your healthcare professional before use if taking warfarin. Garlic may increase the risk of bleeding with this medication.
Consult your healthcare profession if you are receiving hypoglycaemic therapy. Fenugreek may lower blood glucose levels.
Seek Medical advice before taking if you are currently using any prescribed medications.
People with bleeding abnormalities should avoid therapeutic doses of garlic.
Garlic may increase the risk of bleeding associated with surgery. Discontinue use at least 2 weeks before surgery.
This product may cause allergic reactions in individuals with an allergy to pollen.
