The Generic name for Clarinex is Desloratadine.
Clarinex (desloratadine) is an antihistamine used for the relief of symptoms caused by seasonal allergic rhinitis (hay fever). It can also be used to treat the symptoms of skin hives and itching in people with chronic skin reactions.
Clarinex’s antihistamine properties work by reducing/blocking the natural histamine chemical level in the body which produces the rhinitis/hay fever symptoms, which then decreases your allergy symptoms effectively. Histamine in your body produces symptoms such as itching, runny nose, watery red eyes, sore throat and sneezing, along with many more.
